Customer Reviews about CVFP Forest

  • ***Edited from original review. I had an absolutely horrible experience here with Dr. Dodd. I was very pleased with how the director of cvfp handled the situation, refunding me for my visit and making every effort to make it right. I honestly didn't expect them to make it right and am pleasantly surprised. 4 stars only for how awful the original experience was. Thank you cvfp for rectifying this situation! I would definitely recommend them (except dr. dodd) on the basis of customer satisfaction. I greatly appreciate that they did this for me.*** If anyone wants recommendations of doctors NOT to go to, avoid Dodd at CVFP. I mean seriously like if he's the last doctor on earth and you're dying don't do it. I avoid the doctor at all costs unless it's really something that requires medicine. My husband took off work today so that I could go get my thyroid checked. He drove my son around until he fell asleep, then walked him around for 45 minutes after he woke up. I went in with only one request: to get my thyroid checked. After sending in an intern to do all of the preliminary checking, and asking tons of questions the doctor finally came in and told me and started asking me questions not about my symptoms (stabbing pain when I swallow after just completing a round of antibiotics last week) but instead of how many times my son gets up a night to feed. I immediately stopped him kindly and said that I absolutely did not believe in crying it out and would not practice that. (Disclaimer: if you cry it out and decide that is right for your family I absolutely will not chew you out or make you feel bad for having a different parenting style than me everyone does what they believe in THEIR parenting style.) he ignored me and literally told me that the reason that my throats hurts (no other symptoms I am NOT sick) was that I was getting up every time my son wakes at night and feeding him. He implied that I was being a bad mother because I do not let my son cry. He told me that I was not only hurting myself but my son (who was "conditioned" by this point - 9 months) and that I would have all kinda of problems if I went through life trying to protect him from ever getting hurt (what?!?! How is this related??) We were yelling at each other and I kept telling him that I would not change my parenting beliefs (he's not my pediatrician?!?!) and he told me that my son was the only reason I was not feeling well. Well then explain to me why my husband gets up every single time My son does, works an extremely labor intensive job and is 100% fine. He almost kicked me out and I kept talking then walked out on him. He blamed me for starting the argument by disagreeing with him, told me that I was rude and did not listen to any of my concerns. I told him I did not believe that babies under 1 year old were capable of manipulating and that when my son cried it was because he needed me. He looked at me like I was insane and said that they absolutely were capable of manipulating and that he was an expert on this because he had two children. After a few minutes I just walked out and immediately asked to file a complaint (I don't think I've ever filed a complaint anywhere in my life - I won't even return food at a restaurant) I'm sure I made quite an impression crying for 10 minutes in the office managers office. Followed by my husband coming in after and filing another complaint and he made quite an impression as well. Bottom line I paid $167 (that's with a discount) for having no blood work and no tests at all done and to be insulted and yelled at for my parenting style and told that I was only sick because I get up to feed my son at night. I don't think I've ever been this angry in my life.
